Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress known for her starring roles in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Kun..! The actress began her career in the early 1980s and was introduced into prominence thanks to her character in the film Tezaab where she appeared alongside an established actor Anil Kapoor. Next, she appeared with Aamir in Dil. A middle-class family was raised in Mumbai she began learning to dance from an early age. She started acting when an infant and struggled for a few years as most of her first films ended up being flops. Her fame grew and she became one of India's leading film actresses. Following her marriage she had an absence from work prior to returning to the entertainment industry. Recently, she was an important player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit was nominated fifteen times to win Filmfare Awards. She won eight of the awards. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian distinction in India. Her contribution to the social sector is well-known.
